Founded from two experiences
heycare — formerly known as heynanny — was founded in 2022 by Anna Schneider and Julia Kahle. Both come from an HR background and have experienced firsthand in their own companies what it means when a corporate culture enables work-life balance – or fails to do so. Anna witnessed how mental stress leads to long-term absences. Julia resigned from her leadership position because a lack of structures simply made combining career and family impossible.
From these experiences grew the conviction: employees don't need superficial offerings, but support that truly makes a difference. The combination of EAP and family services – covering mental health, childcare, eldercare, and pet care – created what mattered most to us: genuine, preventive relief in everyday life.
Starting with a focus on childcare, it quickly became clear: the issues that burden employees cannot be separated. That is why heynanny became heycare – a name that reflects what we truly stand for: holistic support that takes the real-life circumstances of employees into account and helps companies build a culture in which people can remain productive in the long term.
